Saab Key Programming

Saab cars made since 1994 feature an immobilizer that relies on key codes. In order to add a second key, it requires the purchase of a new transponder as well as special programming. This is usually done at the dealer using a special Tech2 diagnostic tool.

The problem is that it can be very costly. It is always advisable to keep an extra set of keys in your possession.

Transponder key

The transponder key comes with an electronic chip that sends a signal to the car when it is placed in the ignition.
