Note that this measurement is taken at the hinge's part that connects to the frame and not the sash. The actual hinge length may be shorter or longer depending on how your windows were made in the past. When choosing the size of the hinge, most frames made of upvc will have with a height of 13mm, but if your old window frame is 17mm, then select this option.
