The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy but it doesn't have as much flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also offers a multi-position reclining seat and a parent cup holder. Other features of note include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels, as well as two large hanging storage bags.

It performed better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades on it were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top rated single strollers and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta with a standard manual. All of the components required tools. It's lacking some features that we consider essential in double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

It's a breeze to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also swivel. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we let them move and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed slightly bumpier than other models that we tested.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. However, they also manufacture a vast variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is easy to fold and fits in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than the other strollers we tested however the wheels are made of rubber composite, so it feels sturdy and durable. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other items.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other prams' hoods that are turned back into toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has an ample basket that is deep enough to accommodate a changing bag or plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a lot of parents when it first came out. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's initial days and beyond. It comes with a variety of distinctive features like the ability to flip the seat from parent to the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.
