The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and it has numerous options for customization. It also sends you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter requires a change.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill, an option available in other GE fridges that allow you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to pour out simultaneously. It does have a countdown feature on the fridge's display to display how much water you have left, but it's not as helpful as Precise Fill.

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to look like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient, and it produces pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give taller items more headroom. There's also a full-width drawer to store products from the deli and an inside water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it easy to move frozen ice to the fridge to use as needed. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, like sliding drawers that help you sort your things. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an ice storage bin.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. It allows you to control the fridge's temperature and lighting via your smartphone. It's a good way to control and monitor your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the performance of the fridge. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill foods in this fridge as compared to other fridges we tested. This is probably due to its bigger capacity.

The other issue we have with the doors of this refrigerator. The sunken handles let shorter people open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been better if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good option for those looking to combine the benefits of a French-door refrigerator's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also less expensive than the best counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for a french door fridge freezer with ice and water dispenser door refrigerator that won't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a great choice. It's a basic fridge which may not be as attractive as some of its competitors however, it does have enough features to make it a good option. Its most notable characteristic is the adjustable temperature drawer which helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This drawer allows you to redirect some of the fridge's cooling power into this area so that you can store foods that require special attention. The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of grey-bodied stainless steel that has a "smudge-proof" finish. It does an excellent job of preventing streaks and fingerprints from appearing even when compared to the glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tested.
