It also has a feature that automatically adjusts the suction power and head height in accordance with the type of floor it is working on.

It did a great job in our tests on both hard floors and low-pile, removing the majority of the smaller and more difficult debris that we deposited on each surface, as well as the larger cereal crumbs that we placed on the floor. It's less effective at picking up pet hair than the other models we tested. It can also get stuck on cords or toys if you do not remove them before allowing the robot to clean.

However the straight suction floorhead is low to allow for the passage of large or bulky debris. There are also minor issues, like its lack of advanced features and the limited functionality of the remote control. Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is an excellent alternative for those looking for a basic robot bagless modern vacuum with mopping capabilities.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

The SwitchBot K10 plus is a great option for those who want a powerful vacuum that also mop. This small robot's compact design lets it reach places that larger robots cannot, such as corners and under furniture. It also has a LiDAR sensor which can detect obstacles and prevent collisions.

In our testing, the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair, crumbs and other debris quickly and efficiently from our carpet. It was also able to get into tight spaces like under our beds or around the legs of our chairs. In addition to vacuuming, it can also perform mopping tasks with an additional cloth or a wet wipe. The K10 Plus comes with a small bag of wet wipes that will get you moving.

The app for the K10 Plus is intuitive and easy to use. It offers a variety of customization options, including setting a time that the machine won't be disturbed, altering the layout of its map, or setting a schedule of when it is due to clean. The app monitors the life span of various accessories like the side brush, sensor and bin filter. This is helpful for knowing when it's time to replace them.

The battery life of the K10 Plus is also pretty excellent. With a full battery, we were able get three hours of cleaning. It charges quite quickly. When it's done with its work it releases the dirt into a huge dust bin that is located inside its base station. This can be a bit loud when it happens, but at least it's not as loud as the other self-emptying robot vacuums we've tried.

4. iRobot S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ belongs to the high-end S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It is very effective on different flooring types and is able to maneuver around furniture. The main brushroll comes with counter-rotating scrapers made of rubber, which efficiently remove the majority of debris, including pet hair from carpets and bare floors. Although it may leave dust in these areas in the event that the corner brush isn't spinning quickly enough however, its powerful motor more than compensates for this.

In the tests conducted by iRobot, the S9+ was able to take in pet hair and cat litter with ease. It also did exceptionally well on hard floors, where its powerful motor could take on all types of floors as well as corners and edges effortlessly. The app lets you manage the robot's schedule and also select different modes for vacuuming and mopping for each room.

The S8 features improved HyperForce suction that is able to remove fine particles and hair easily. You can use the app to adjust the suction power and the device can automatically switch between the energy-efficient 'Quiet', Balanced', and 'Turbo' modes based on the surface it's cleaning. It also has a Carpet Suction Boost mode that increases suction while the robot is positioned on rugs.

You can manage the S8 using a single button, which doubles as a general 'Clean' button or an 'Spot Clean button to direct the bagless robot sweeper to that specific area. Press the 'Dock/Home button' to send the robot to its home station. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of features that are quite surprising. You can even select when you want to charge your phone off-peak in order to save money on peak-time electricity.

The only drawback to the S8 is that its battery isn't longer than it should allow for, with only 130 minutes of use when I left it on its default settings with both mopping and vacuuming enabled. It's still an impressive amount of time, and it was enough to completely clean my home.
