Awesome article! I’m on board with your points on the EX4 format and the importance of transition them into MQ4. Once you have MQ4, you obtain total flexibility to customize the source code, and that’s a big plus for algorithm developers.

I’ve also converted several ex4 to mq4 files to .MQ4 in the past, and it’s definitely made a huge difference in how I tweak my trading strategies. If anyone’s on the fence about converting, it’s worth it! Having access to the editable source code gives you more control.
